Jackrabbit (lepu alleni) is a wild rabbit Native American
continent. This rabbit has a long tail and there is a black strip. His ears are
long and brown. 42, 5-77cm body length, weight 1.5-3.5 kg. Rabbit mules rather
stay in the grass and bushes. In the summer, they like to bask in the open.
This could enable the body to cool. Blood flows smoothly to
the ear, while his body became exposed to the cool breeze. But as soon as there
is a predator, he will be agile dodge. Running fast and zigzag. People familiar
with rabbits as livestock, can be divided into two major groups, namely rabbits
and rabbits ornamental pieces.
Rabbits are of various races. Rabbit hobbyists are generally
fond of long-haired rabbits. Men prefer short haired rabbits, because treatment
is more simple and practical. Its fur is not a mess everywhere. This is related
to the issue of care and cleanliness.
The above Black-tailed Jackrabbit, is only called a " rabbit", while in actuality being a Hare, not a rabbit at all.

I saw a few tonight in the high desert ( about 3000' in elevation, what is called " chapparel", of very far south Arizona ( the southwest of the U.S.) !! They were adolescents, not adults, not babies either, and appeared from a few yards away to be in good condition. April 23, 2015. I also saw a Sonoran Gray Fox with the longest bushiest tail run across the road in front of me! BEAUTIFUL!! Wow! While an adult, it was pretty small being a Fox, but a very fast runner! I've never seen one in the wild before! It was great! :-)
